Hva er det med Lansdowne som er så spesielt? Jo, så vidt jeg vet er det første gangen dette navnet dukker opp i QEC, men det er mest interessant hva annet de holder på med i Quebec, og andre steder og hvorfor. Selskapet holder til i Wien av alle steder men er også linket til Delaware, hvis jeg husker rett er storeieren i Red Leaf også samme to steder den gangen jeg sporet henne (det er hun som har førsterett på de 90 millioner). Red leaf er jo også Alberta selskap, ikke Utah. Hva i all verden skal et “hedgefond” i Wien med alle disse små selskapene, eller hvem står egentlig bak kontoene?
Under Utica resource’s oppkjøpsforsøk av Junex hadde de med seg Lansdowne, det gikk likevel ikke veien for Utica, nå har de i stedet fått seg lobbyist, ikke første gangen nå men i fjor sommer, hva skal de med det uten egne acres? Det viser seg at Utica resources, som er Quebec registrert, har en fot inne med Intragaz (de har acres innimellom QEC sine og også gassdeponiet i St.-Flavian). Det nye for lobbyistens formål, som er Utica resources egen direktør, er nylig endret fra å få endret reguleringen til også å starte utvinning i Quebec, nærmere bestemt i Lotbiniere og de andre acres. Her må en ikke dra slutning om at det er QEC’s Lotbiniere for Intragaz har også i kommunen. Men, samme lobbyist kjenner Binnion og har også gått hus til hus i 3 år i Lotbiniere for å sanke sosial aksept.

Lotbinière in the sights of a gas company
The Utica Resources gas company entered the Quebec Lobbyists Registry in 2018 with the objective of obtaining changes to the regulations related to the Hydrocarbons Act. According to the recent solicitation letter sent to Junex shareholders, Ressources Québec, a subsidiary of Investissement Québec, the Québec government financier, was its largest shareholder, with 14.81 per cent of the shares outstanding.

Spørsmålet er om dette kan linkes tilbake til Investissement Québec og om det er Quebec selv som prøver å sikre seg sine ressurser. I Utica sagaen fra i fjor var det altså et stråselskap med støtte av hedgefond som igjen er stråselskap og har flere slike under seg.

Jeg har ikke svar på alt men at Lansdowne støttet Utica resources i fjor under deres fiendlige buf på Junex er jo dokumentert og det er jo da merkelig at de også sitter som største eier i QEC. Noe vanlig fond ser det ikke ut til å være. Til sist har i alle fall QEC fått hjelp med å kjempe mot myndighetene fra lobbyist og flere som vil utvinne. Det var litt å tenke på!
